What is a Boater Scavenger Hunt?
What is a Boater Scavenger Hunt? A Boater Scavenger Hunt is an easy & fun game in which teams of 2-6 boaters on boats earn points by finding treasures, collecting stuff and taking pictures of their team doing the fun (and sometimes wacky) things that are listed on Rosston Eddy Marina’s Boater’s Scavenger Hunt List. The Scavenger Hunt and Beach Party benefits Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter.
(Click here for more information about Rosston Eddy Marina’s Boater’s Scavenger Hunt on July 12th http://www.rosstoneddymarina.com/Whatisaboaterscavengerhunt.html )
In Rosston Eddy Marina’s Boater Scavenger Hunt there will be loads of great prizes and a CA$H 1st place prize. Preregistration at the marina (or by mail) is required. The $30/per person fee includes your registration for the Scavenger Hunt, The Beach Party (with food and music by the river), a chance to win great prizes, and a donation to the animal shelter).
At noon on July 12 at Rosston Eddy Marina you will pick up your official Boater Scavenger Hunt List which will tell you what to do. The list is divided between things your team will need to collect and fun things your team will do. Sometimes the list will tell you to take a picture of your team doing fun things. You earn points for each thing you collect and do and the more points you get the better your chances to win great prizes!
After the Scavenger Hunt we’re hosting a Beach Party (with sand!) that starts about 6 pm. We’ll have lots of good food and music and entertainment with D.J. Steve Heffner.
Register early as registration is limited! Click here to get the Registration Form: http://www.rosstoneddymarina.com/Scavengerapplication.html

Gas Saving Tips
A weekend on your boat, on the river, is still priceless, but the cost of gasoline is not. Some tips to reduce gas consumption this summer include:
Removing unnecessary weight
(from your body and from your boat)
Having your prop repaired
(drop your prop off Rosston Eddy Marina)
Cleaning your bottom
(always popular!)
Tuning your engine
(schedule your boat today)
For most boaters, the average weekend of boating does not consume major quantities of gas — the engine isn’t running when you’re tied-off or anchored or simply drifting while you fish.
Keeping all this in mind, your boat still is one of the best water-front summer vacations around! See you on the river!
